This report describes the task 4.5 and its aim to collect information on future cooperation between current and potential CESSDA partners. Using the information from the non-CESSDA member data services, the 4.7 deliverable summarises the current state and needs of these data services.

This guide aims to assist interested actors, or country teams, in developing plans for establishing national data services in the social sciences.

The report identifies gaps (in 2017) for further development of data archives services in each country by exploring the wider ecosystem of data sharing culture, organisational setting, and service operational profile.

This canvas can be used as a brainstorming tool for the value proposition and development of new data archives or new services. It can help identify the building blocks, the steps required, and presents them clearly on one page. The canvas is part of the CESSDA Cost-Benefit Advocacy Toolkit.
