The CESSDA Country Spotlight series showcases national service providers. We interviewed representatives of the national service providers, dear members of the CESSDA community. We asked them about the value CESSDA provides their data archive and vice versa.
The Social Science Data Archives
The Slovenian Social Science Data Archives (Arhiv družboslovnih podatkov - ADP) were established in 1997 as part of the Institute of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana and became a member of CESSDA in 1998.
ADP aims to identify data sources from a wide range of disciplines that are of interest to social scientists in Slovenia, and to then acquire, review, ingest, preserve and disseminate those data sources to the social science research community for reuse. The ADP Catalogue provides access to these data.
ADP is also committed to training users in the planning, handling and preparation of data for ingest in open access, but also in the secondary use of research data and knowledge exchange between users.
Janez Štebe about CESSDA
