RDA 28th Plenary Meeting (VP28)
Summary
The RDA 28th Plenary Meeting (RDA VP28) will be held fully virtually between 15-18 March 2027.
Description
Under the theme ‘Data in a Changing World: Trust, Access and Collaboration’, VP28 will look at what it takes to make data more trustworthy and accessible through real collaboration, across disciplines, regions, and career stages. Three connected threads will explore:
Trust: provenance, governance, and the standards that make data reliable.
Access: being aware of and sensitive to the technical, economic and policy barriers that keep data out of reach.
Collaboration: the cross-disciplinary, cross-border partnerships that make the first two matter.
As a fully virtual event, VP28 offers accessible participation for the entire RDA community, regardless of location. The plenary will feature RDA Working Group and Interest Group meetings, Birds of a Feather sessions, informal networking event, and plenary sessions.
New for VP28: following feedback from the RDA community, VP28 introduces a lighter format: a dedicated BoF day, shorter BoF and main plenary sessions, a one-day registration option, complimentary BoF-day tickets, and expanded regional watch-alongs.
