In the RITrainPlus project, CESSDA is leading the Community of Practice (CoP) intended for managers and operators of research infrastructure or core facilities in different countries. To jump-start the Community of Practice we will be organising our first webinar. The theme of our first webinar is “Starting a new post in a research infrastructure” and the aim is to discuss the challenges and efforts that need to be made in order to first apply and secondly adapt to a new work post within a research infrastructure.

Starting a new post in a research infrastructure

Do you want to know what kind of skills and knowledge you need to secure a managerial position in a research infrastructure (RI)? How about the experience you need for this position? Come join us for our first webinar of the RItrainPlus Community of Practice, where we will discuss and reveal some tips and tricks of how to obtain and start a new role in an RI!

We will hear from four newly recruited managers from different research infrastructures:

• Meredith Goins, Executive Director of the World Data System - IPO,

• Bonnie Wolff-Boenisch, Director of the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA),

• Darja Fišer, future Director of 'Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (CLARIN ERIC),

• Ari Asmi, Director of RDA Europe.
