As part of SSHOC activities, CLARIN is organising a series of online events to raise awareness about open-source vocabulary hosting and management platforms, such as Wikibase (3.09.2020), SKOSMOS (14.09.2020), CESSDA Vocabulary Service (30.09.2020).

Description

3 September: First session - Wikibase
In this session of the series you will get acquainted with Wikibase, a powerful, flexible and customizable knowledge base software that drives Wikidata.

14 September: Second session - SKOSMOS
In this session of the series you will get acquainted with SKOSMOS, a web-based tool providing services for accessing controlled vocabularies, which are used by indexers describing documents and searchers looking for suitable keywords. Vocabularies are accessed via SPARQL endpoints containing SKOS vocabularies.

30 September: Third session - CESSDA Vocabulary Service
In this information session, you will learn about the CESSDA Vocabulary Service that enables users to discover, browse and download controlled vocabularies in a variety of languages. The service is provided by the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA).
